Last year we were thrilled to introduce you to the Carolina Art Soiree, an evening of local and regional art, food, drink, and live music, benefiting GBS/CIDP research, education, and advocacy. Last year's event raised $30,000 for the foundation, and sold over 100 paintings.
Art galleries are made to stroll through, taking time to contemplate each piece. It’s even better if you have a friend to talk to, someone to bounce ideas off of, or to inspire you to interpret a work in a way you wouldn’t have on your own. The only thing that could make the experience even better would be a glass of wine. Why is it then that outside of the occasional gallery hop, art and wine don't get the chance to mingle more? ABC laws aside, it really would create the perfect pairing of art and leisure.
