
For three days in January, DIY Network host Josh Temple and the production crew of "House Crashers" ambushed a home in western Mecklenburg County, turning it into both a construction site and the set of a reality show. Charlotte renovation contractor Dryden Design Build served as the local design-build team for the race-themed garage transformation, which guest starred NASCAR drivers Kasey Kahne and Brad Sweet.
If you’re new to Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, you may not know that there is a slice of nature nestled in many local neighborhoods: Greenways. According to the Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation website, greenways are defined as, “vegetated natural buffers that improve water quality, reduce the impacts of flooding, and provide wildlife habitat.” Currently, there are 37 miles of developed and 150 miles of undeveloped greenways with a variety of surfaces throughout the county.

Last year we were thrilled to introduce you to the Carolina Art Soiree, an evening of local and regional art, food, drink, and live music, benefiting GBS/CIDP research, education, and advocacy. Last year's event raised $30,000 for the foundation, and sold over 100 paintings.
