Chorizo Latin Fare

I had the opportunity on Friday to grab a quick lunch at one of my very favorite restaurants, Chorizo, which is located in the historic Grove Arcade in downtown Asheville.  The weather was amazing, so I took advantage of their patio seating.  Chorizo offers Latin fare featuring local and in-season produce whenever possible, and provides a creative and artistic ambiance that is a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds.  As the weather warms, the restaurant opens up to provide an outside feel, even for the tables that are located within the walls.

Spring is officially here, but I've been wanting to prepare a last ‘cool weather' dish before the temperatures begin to swelter outside. For this, I’ve chosen lamb. If you’ve never had lamb, it does not taste like chicken. Lamb has a very distinct flavor and is quite popular in Mediterranean (think gyros) and other global cuisines.
